Northern Spotlights is a new theatre company crafting intimate, ambitious work, drawn from northern voices and pride in Preston and the surrounding areas.

Prior Ties
Summer/Autumn 2027
In the dead of night, Eleanor flees from her past and seeks sanctuary at the Priory, where she is taken in by the enigmatic Prior. She soon discovers she is not alone—three other guests reside within the priory’s walls, but they are no ordinary travelers.
Who we are
Northern Spotlights Theatre Company is based in the Northwest, focused on creating a stronger sense of community through the arts in Preston and the surrounding areas.
Preston has plenty of history, culture and diversity to celebrate, but lack of opportunity and investment means less chances to celebrate our identity. We aim to change this.
Northern Spotlights intends to create original, thought-provoking works, championing the spirit of the community, using our voices to tell stories close to our hearts.
We honour our individual diversities as performers and creators by supporting neurodivergent, LGBTQ+ and other marginalised creatives; to promote and show appreciation for these differences, with the goal of coming together through our work.

With the training and experience of everyone on board with Northern Spotlights, we have the ability to run workshops for many ability levels and age ranges. From children's theatre to adult performers, learning about auditions for drama schools or brushing up on well honed skills, we have something for everyone.
